Look for this great historical novel, my favorite of his many, at Amazon, Barnes&Noble, and other retailers. About the American Revolution. The dialogue he puts together based on history and history's descriptions of the men and women involved are wonderful.

He follows in the footsteps of his father, Michael Shaara, who wrote the great historical novel "Killer Angels" which the the very good movie Gettysburg is based on.

Two great novels for Dad given this weekend is Father's Day.
