Along with Mr. Weiskopf, four of my all time favorite golfers are named Burns, Carlson, Willcockson, and Mullaney.
A guy named Couples is OK too. Reading a book about him. He didn't like to answer the phone because someone might be calling. A way of saying he was shy. He didn't have a drivers license in high school or college. One of his teammates and best friends at the U. of Houston was Jim Nance, the sportscaster.
KC's own, the great Tom Watson, is another. Met him at the free clinic he gives in KC for kids.
Met the great Arnold Palmer in Des Moines during the US Senior Open.
