Scrooge (the 1951 version with Alistair Sim), Patton, Hoosiers, The Sound of Music, Hunt for Red October, Rear Window, and the James Bond movies are the ones which first come to mind.
If you are a Scrooge/A Christmas Carol fan another good one you don't run into very often is An American Christmas Carol with Henry Winkler.
